Saints Keep Winning Streak Alive, Blow Past Bearcats

St. Louis – The Maryville University league of legends team wrapped up the weekend with a 2-0 win over Northwest Missouri State University.

What Happened: In the first game, the Bearcats started out the game with an unconventional invasion of Maryville's side of the map which caused them to take an early deficit. Maryville never dropped the lead and took a quick 19 minute victory in a very standard game.

Before game 2, the Bearcats realized that they will not have a chance against Maryville's squad so they went with an unconventional draft to pick up multiple off meta champions. They started out early with some map control pressuring the bottom lane of Maryville and ended up securing 2 kills on the bot lane only to lose pressure on the mid and top side of the map. Maryville's team fighting was too strong and ended up closing game 2 out in a 16 minute victory nearly beating out their record time for the season.

Looking Ahead: The Saints will meet Illinois State Saturday at 2:00pm.
