Maryville Prepared to Defend Title

By: Damien Demongey

Hot off their first-place finish at the National Championship and third place at the World Championship, the League of Legends team is prepared to make another run at the title of World Champions
Maryville University is excited to announce the upcoming League of Legends starting roster for the upcoming collegiate season.

Mid: Andrew "CKG" Smith
ADC: Marko: "Prototype" Sosnicki
Support: Kevin "Cat Ears" Luu

The roster may look slightly different from last year. Long time support John "Papa Chau" Le stepped down from his role as support and moved on to the professional team eUnited. Freshman Kevin Luu has replaced him and has already begun to adapt to the LAN environment and has been a vocal member in scrims. Alongside the starting roster, there are a few more familiar faces joining Maryville University as substitutes.

Jungle: William "Mordio" Yang
Mid: Michael "dawolfsclaw" Taylor

Team captain Andrew Smith spoke of how he felt bringing in new players to the already successful lineup.
"It's something I've wanted for a long time, it provides a realistic environment. Every single sports team in the world has the threat that if you're not keeping up, someone else will take your job."
The team also has a dedicated managerial staff in order to best prepare the team in their matches and assist them whenever needed.
