Saints Declaw Jayhwaks, Stay Undefeated

St. Louis, Mo. – The Maryville University eSports League of Legends team took on the University of Kansas in the north region semifinals.

How It Happened: Game one for Maryville was a slow pace and clean game which is unexpected considering how aggressive the Saints can be. Maryville played a slow and methodical one three one composition and won the game in just under 30 minutes.

Game two was a different story. Kansas decided to put in a substitute and it almost paid off. They secured an early lead by heavily focusing the bottom lane of Maryville and with a good teleport from their top lane they secured an early lead. They transitioned this lead into the jungle where they picked off Maryville's jungler but CKG was getting big at this point. Securing multiple solo kills in the mid lane with Ahri CKG managed to force fight after fight in order to turn the game around and continue Maryville's undefeated season.

Next Up: The Saints will meet Robert Morris University in the north regional final Saturday, March 25th at 2:00pm.
